Bastrop County 4-H Recordbook Resources
Important Dates
- COUNTY:
- June 18, 2024: Recordbooks are due to the County Extension Office by 12:00 Noon
- June 20, 2024: Recordbooks will be judged
- June 20, 2024: Recordbooks advancing to District may be picked up from the County Extension Office to make corrections (all others will be returned at banquet)
- DISTRICT:
- July 8, 2024: Recordbooks are due to the County Extension Office by 12:00 Noon
- July 11, 2024: Recordbooks will be judged (Recordbooks advancing to State may be checked out from the District Office for corrections)
- August 2024: All Recordbooks will be returned at Banquet
- STATE:
- Senior (9-12 grade) aged 4-H members who place 1st in their category at District 10 judging will advance to State
- Date for returning corrected recordbooks to State is TBA
- State Judging typically takes place during the first week of August
- JUDGING SIGN-UPS:
- We need help judging recordbooks! This is the best way to learn about recordbooks and what to expect from year to year – lunch is provided for the 2 opportunities:
- County Judging: Thursday, June 20, 2024 (10 AM to about 2 PM @ Bastrop County Extension Office)
- District Judging: Thursday, July 11, 2024 (9 AM to 3 PM @ Gillespie County Extension Office in Fredericksburg)
- Senior aged youth ARE allowed and welcomed to help us judge the intermediate and senior recordbooks! This counts towards your volunteer leadership in your recordbooks, as well.

- 2023-2024 Virtual Recordbook Overview
- Date: Friday, June 7, 2024
- Time: 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM
- Location: Online via Microsoft TEAMS (link will be sent out Friday morning; presentation will be recorded and emailed out)
- 2023-2024 In-Person and Virtual Recordbook Work Day
- Date: Tuesday, June 11, 2024
- Time: 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Location – Option 1: Bastrop County Extension Office, 15 American Legion Drive, Bastrop, TX 78602
- Location – Option 2: Online via Microsoft TEAMS (link will be sent out Monday evening)

- You can use any cover or binding you wish for a cover – notebook, 3-ring binder, presentation cover, etc.
