ADDITIONAL SHOW OPPORTUNITIES (no excused absence request):

There are some additional opportunities associated with this Stock Show (including the Open Show & Youth Longhorn Show Opportunities); however, we are NOT able to request an excused absence for participation in these opportunities since they do not require youth participants to be a 4-H/FFA member.  We are happy to send a letter of support to your school if you choose to participate, but it will be up to the school to decide how to handle your absence.  Please let us know if you have any questions about this.

OTHER OPPORTUNITIES:

  • Other opportunities can be found on the County Calendar – registration information should be included for each post.
  • Other Contest related opportunities can be found on the Judging Card Calendar – to sign up for these opportunities, please contact Mellanie at [email protected] or at 512-581-7186

That’s all for now!  Have a great week and let us know if you have any questions!

Hey all!

Please see the information below on the San Angelo Stock Show coming up in February 2022, including the Junior Livestock Show and the Junior Judging Contests.

Please note that we are only focusing this information on the portions of the show that require the youth members to be 4-H (or FFA) members in order to enter.  These are the only opportunities for which we can request an excused absence from your school.

If you are showing livestock, please note that you MUST have an updated Quality Counts Number for your age group (important if you are new to showing, if you have moved from 5th to 6th grade, or if you have moved from 8th to 9th grade).

Please read through these opportunities and let us know if you need help with anything!

  • REMINDER: All Extension Agents have until 12/01/21 to review, enter online, sign, seal, and postmark all entries and supporting documents for the major shows – they must be turned in by November 4th to the CEO in order for us to process through everything and to make sure your information is up to date and correct.
  • CEO LATE FEE: any entries turned in after the November 4th deadline will be subject to a $25 per entry late fee
